Norristown Nupes continue to form cooperative relationships with individuals and organizations throughout Montgomery County, creating partnerships based upon morals, values, and ethics, for the purpose of Achievement, through Community Service.
The goal of the Norristown Alumni Social Action Committee is to make a difference in the lives of the people that live in the Norristown area.
During the Thanksgiving season, the chapter holds a Turkey Dinner Giveaway, where baskets are delivered to the houses of families to alleviate any food insecurity in the community.
Christmas is always a festive time, and the committee makes sure that the mothers and their children at Family House Norristown can participate in the holiday. We give each mother and their children Walmart gift cards so they can have the Christmas experience of shopping for gifts, this makes a difference.
The NAC has participated in events such as coat drives, back-to-school bookbag filling, providing gifts for families during the Christmas season, delivering and serving food to those in need.
We partner with organizations such as the Montgomery County OIC, Mount Zion AME church, and Help A Single Parent (H.A.S.P.) to meet the various needs in the Norristown area.
